Trust Emotions Fear Keeps Veteran From Sharing Loss
Dear Ann Landers recalls a Vietnam memorial scene where a veteran, Ken Anderson, hesitated to speak to relatives of a fallen comrade, fearing his tears. The letter urges readers to show their emotions openly at memorials and pauses to thank veterans for their sacrifices. Then readers discuss greetings from office doormen and hotel stationery ethics, with Ann advising on sincere concern and hotel habits.
