Jamaican girl wins national spelling bee title
Jody-Anne Maxwell, 12, from Jamaica, won the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in a poised, emotionless style that broke into a smile upon the final correct spelling. She shared the $10,000 prize with two Jamaican runners-up and credited God and training. Prem Murthy Trivedi, 12, finished second for the second time.
