Ottawa Legion Drops Openers In Weekend Losses
The Ottawa American Legion opened its baseball season with two defeats to Olathe Connie Mack Rebels and Parsons. Ted Haworth and Rick Roush pitched well for Ottawa, but nine errors and seven miscues behind them doomed the team to a 5-3 loss to Olathe and a 5-0 setback to Parsons, as Misener shut Ottawa down with strong defense backing him. Ottawa next faces Garnett at Orlis Cox Field.
