City issues bonds to aid truck-topper maker

The Garnett city commission approves industrial revenue bonds up to 525000 to assist ARNETT Astro Zap Manufacturing West in land and building purchases. Company plans expansion from 44 to 60 workers, with daily toppers rising to 100 to 125 and projected sales near 4 million annually. Hospital ends April in the black by about 55000, with 478000 gross revenue. Memorial Day services scheduled across local cemeteries. Dr. Moussa assists county clinic with nurse practitioner hire.

Williamsburg High Alumni Reunion Plans 67th

The Class of 1933 plans to join the 1928 group at a luncheon and alumni banquet at WHS gym. About 300 reservations were made for the dinner led by Midge Ransom. Six members of Class of ’28 will attend. Scholarships will be awarded to eight Class of 1995 members during the banquet.
