Jury convicts former Klansman in church bombing
Bobby Frank Cherry, a former Ku Klux Klansman, is found guilty of first degree murder in the 1963 Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing that killed four black girls. He faces life in prison. The verdict ends a decades long pursuit as prosecutors linked Cherry to a conspiratorial group of Klansmen.
