Ottawa shoppers will fill Main Street this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Flea Junk and Trunk Ottawa Outdoor Market with 89 vendors and 122 booths booked. Antiques crafts and clothing will be sold as streets close from First to Fourth streets and part of Second Street. rain or shine forecast. Tornado survivor opens downtown business in Ottawa
Mary Raley survived the May 22 2011 Joplin tornado that killed 158. She was injured by debris in her car, underwent five back surgeries and facial plastic work, and credits a mystery man in blue jeans a white tee and red jacket with aiding her. Three years later she married Kyle Raley, Ottawa native.

Goppert Teen Park named for foundation donation in Ottawa
The city of Ottawa names the new teen park for 13 to 18 year olds Goppert Teen Park after a naming gift of 50 000 dollars from the Goppert Foundation. The Play Task Force aims for a 250 000 dollar fundraising total and plans a progress banner at the site south of Kanza Park on 15th Street.
