Ottawa Cyclones fall to Winfield in regional final
Ottawa High School girls soccer team lost 5-0 to Winfield in the regional championship in Winfield. The Cyclones played short handed with injured Logan Butler and limited senior Cydney Lewis, while Winfield’s speed and organization overwhelmed Ottawa’s defense. Ottawa high school baseball saw its season end in Garnett as Fort Scott defeated Ottawa 8 5 in the 4A regional. The Cyclones, ranked near the top all season, faltered early with seven runs against them before rallying to 7 5 by the sixth.
