Bad Bosses Win Honors in National Bosses Contest
A Philadelphia businessman who asked his secretary to scout for good-looking women at a pub and call him on a beeper to report prospects is called a dubious winner in a national bosses contest. Other so called unbelievable bosses included a New York supervisor who tailed an employee to the restroom to time them and a Cleveland boss who hosted forgery contests among secretaries to forge client signatures. The contest honored good bosses as well, including a Birmingham executive praised for family leave policies and a Hofstra administrator for pay raises advocacy. Identities were not released.
