Japan Popular In USS Despite Trade Imbalance
Americans hold positive views of Japan while seeing it as a major threat to U S jobs. A Gallup survey of 1,350 adults finds 84 percent positive toward Japan, 80 percent say it threatens American workers, with 46 percent blaming U S wages policy and management. The study, conducted Feb 22 to March 3, was analyzed by Potomac Associates for Johns Hopkins SAIS.
