Carr freed on $50,000 bond in Ottawa case

Douglas Arthur Carr Jr., 40, was freed from jail after posting a $50,000 bond following a pretrial hearing in Franklin County District Court. He faces seven felony counts for ramming a police car and attempting to strike an Econo Lodge employee during a Feb. 2 south Ottawa rampage. The defense plans to pursue a diminished capacity or insanity defense.
