A Gilbert study finds many teens favor mothers staying home and doing most housework while fathers work to support the family. About 57 percent sided with the old plan for stability, 56 percent opposed mothers returning to work, and views vary with new marriages and early years of first marriages.
Survey of Idaho youths on housework and gender roles shows 59 percent say home is less stable with mother working outside. 27 percent see no change. Fathers are seen as hindering, with few praising sharing chores. teens largely support joint parenting and spending in households. The piece notes a thief was caught at Pocatello but authorities did not recover all items.
