New law aims at deer damages in Kansas farming counties
Kansas farmers face crop losses from a growing deer population estimated at 300000 to 500000 and over 25 million in deer related crop damage. Gov Bill Graves signed House Bill 2303 changing hunting rules including transfer of hunt on your own land permits to nonrelatives and outside Kansass residents paying resident fees.
