Strickland Bets On Music As Road To West Coast
Steve Strickland, 21, guitarist from Emporia State, plans a summer of original compositions and a final Ottawa show with Rosewood. He aims to move to the West Coast in fall, fashioning Kansas inspired acoustic boogie with blues and rock roots, while balancing theatre work and private performances. He cites Dylan and Richie Havens as major influences and has written pieces like Panacea and Good Time Boogie Afternoon.
