Mrs. Jordan served refreshments at the close.
Miss Mildred Taylor opened with prayer for the Seekers Class at Trinity Methodist Church. Mrs. Emile Barnes led business while Mrs. W I Kitchen gave devotions. Reports were accepted. Members sent 34 cards and made 50 calls. Hostesses were Mrs. Belle McProud and Mrs. Ethel Wood. Twelve members attended. guest Mrs. Frederick Wood helped serve refreshments.
Kansas City district manager Charles Garrison notes an Ottawa family obtained a social security number for three day old Anne Cecilia Winter amid a new IRS rule requiring numbers for those with $10 or more in interest. Father Winton Winter also secured numbers for three other children to ensure future employment reporting compatibility. The district office has no record of a younger recipient and cannot confirm a record.
