Sheriff Faces Triple Homicide Probe After Appointment
Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards confronts a multi agency Major Case Squad probe into a rural Ottawa triple homicide and the disappearance of 18 month old Lana Bailey. The farm scene at 3197 Georgia Road drew national attention amid scrutiny of the sheriff’s office transitions and calls for community cooperation to aid the investigation and prevent a repeat of the 1973 Franklin County triple murder.
