City approves CIP with few changes amid 1985 plans
Ottawa planners approved the Capital Improvements Program with minimal changes. Pending 1985 projects include Main Street rebuilds, bridge work, and Kanza Park upgrades funded by a 16,500 special alcohol tax grant. 1986 priorities feature 11th Street work, a south side fire substation, and sidewalks on 15th Street along with Kanza Park. A Cedar Street study yielded a buffer zoning plan and a rezoning shift to office and industrial areas.
