The Associated Press reports tighter meat supplies as fewer cattle and hogs reach markets push up wholesale prices. Sugar costs may rise due to Dominican Republic unrest, but major producers could absorb the impact. Expect bargains on ribs and steaks, with fresh fish plentiful and eggs below normal price levels. Orange output is up, wholesale prices down, and spring vegetables move to market cheaper, except possibly the Midwest amid unsettled weather.
