Ex-Sheriff Clyde Orton vows return to law enforcement
Caruthersville Missouri ex-sheriff Clyde Orton aged 49 vows to stay active in law enforcement despite court ouster for neglect of duty involving gambling and liquor violations. He says his wife Hazel will run for sheriff as he claims voters will vindicate him. Orton criticizes Attorney General Danforth and cites media as bias while denying major infractions beyond minor gambling in Hayti and Caruthersville.
