Kingdom of Heaven review leans into grandeur over resonance
Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven is an immense visual epic with painterly cinematography and a sprawling cast led by Orlando Bloom as Balian. Despite lavish battles, the film’s length and Bloom’s star persona hinder emotional impact, leaving a spectacle rather than a gripping narrative.
