Red Cross protested abuse at Abu Ghraib prison
The International Committee of the Red Cross said it repeatedly urged U S authorities to act on allegations of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib in Iraq. ICRC spokesman Nada Doumani noted U S actions were not specified and that visits had occurred since last year.
