Local murder trial delayed in rural Wellsville case
The trial of Evan Harris facing first degree murder charges in the death of his 3 week old son John Andrew Harris was continued to July 26 by the Franklin County Attorney. Jury selection was to begin this week. The infant died December 1 1993 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The infant suffered a severe head injury including a skull crack about 4 inches long. The mother's similar charge was dismissed last month and she has filed for divorce.

Foster death ruled suicide in second review findings
A second review of Vince Foster's death reaffirms the original conclusion that the White House deputy counsel died by his own hand last summer. The finding will appear in a report by Whitewater special prosecutor Robert Fiske, who says the review was thorough and notes forensic evidence supported the conclusion. Fiske announced the report will be released when proper. he also released cost estimates: $1.17 million spent through April 21, with anticipated total about $2.7 million by September.
