Ottawa women hear McCrossen talk on Russia trip
About 200 District Homemakers Day attendees at Ottawa University heard Rev. Jim McCrossen recount his group’s 1977 study trip to Russia. He contrasted church growth and state control, described Russian life and culture, and noted impacts on religion, education, work, and daily routines. The afternoon offered three mini sessions on Batik, Granny trunks, and Victorian house restoration.
