Penn Central Disposal May Be Studied Again
Rep. Wright Patman signals a new House Banking Committee probe into Chase Manhattan Bank's May 1970 sale of 286600 Penn Central shares. He alleges the bank had inside information via its role in Penn Central loans and cites a May 21 meeting involving Bevan and executives from First National City and Chemical Bank.
