AP reports from Cape Canaveral that electronic recorders will capture every second of Mercury flight. Cmdr Alan B Shepard will lie on a molded fiberglass couch inside a bell shaped capsule with three instrument consoles and a view window designed for an unobstructed look at space during about five minutes of weightlessness. The capsule, built by McDonnell Aircraft, will ascend 115 miles after a 135 million dollar contract and mark the first American space view from inside a manned craft.
