U S Military Acknowledges Firing Onto Cambodian Soil
The U S command for the first time officially acknowledged shelling into Cambodia. Artillerymen battered the border while Viet Cong fire hit a U S 1st Infantry Division battalion near the Cai Bac River in Tay Ninh Province. The operation coincided with B52s bombing targets as sorties continued.
