Ottawa High School appoints Whittaker as principal

Kelly Whittaker, now living in Ottawa, will become Ottawa High School principal for the 2018-19 school year. She moves from Shawnee Heights High School in Tecumseh, Kansas, where she was assistant principal, and will replace current principal David Morford who resigned to join Haysville. She emphasizes state of the art facilities, CTE programs, Gemini status, and project based learning while stressing servant leadership and strong parent community engagement. Her husband James teaches at Ottawa University and will coach track and cross country.
