Grand champion angus heifer at Hutchison kickoff show
Jackson Wingert of Ottawa exhibited the grand champion angus heifer at the AGR B&B Kickoff Show on February 26 in Hutchison. His October 2009 heifer later ranked among the top five heifers of all breeds. Also pictured are Claire Wingert Fred Wingert and Judge Barry Nowatzke.

New Family Physician Joins Anderson County Medical Staff
Special to The Herald August brings Lindsey Westberg M D to Anderson County Hospital and the Family Care Center as the communitys third family practice physician. A Manhattan native, she studied at the University of Kansas and earned a KU School of Medicine degree. Westberg is completing a family medicine residency at St Vincent s HealthCare in Jacksonville Florida and recently won the 2010 Exceptional Resident Scholar award from the Florida Academy of Family Physicians for patient care leadership and community service. She serves as president of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians resident chapter and participates in medical missions in Haiti and Africa.
