Ottawa resident Louis Reed created a tourism page for Franklin County using Kansas University’s Internet system. By March 19 the page had 81 hits after its Feb 19 addition, with registration now completed across seven search engines and a showcase on KansasCity.com. The bureau reports rising interest from across the nation and Midwest Living ads driving inquiries, plus a $118 donation from the Tourism Bureau to the Old Depot Museum renovation.
