Franklin County GOP to nominate new sheriff after Curry resignation
The Franklin County Republican Central Committee plans an executive meeting to nominate a successor to Sheriff Jeff Curry who will resign effective April 1. If Brownback accepts the resignation, the appointment goes to the party for a general election in November 2014, while Undersheriff Steve Langer oversees operations in the interim.
