State to fund five new western Kansas meal sites
Kansas aging secretary Esther Walford Wolf said funding for five new western Kansas meal sites will not reduce Ottawa or any of the 325 state sites. Governor’s recommendation would boost elder nutrition funds by 300000 in FY90 and 500000 in FY91 to support inflation and increase annual meals to about 3.9 million statewide. The five new sites Oberlin Osborne Ulysses Atwood and LaCross were approved last year and three are operating with two more to start this spring.
