Second phase of I 35 construction begins near Ottawa
The I 35 project from near Ottawa to beyond LeLoup shifts to two lane traffic for the summer. Traffic rerouted to northbound lanes while contractor Clarkson Construction rebuilds southbound lanes over 13 miles. Speed limits drop, lane width limited to 12 feet, ramps at U S 59 and 15th Street closed, detours via Eisenhower Road and 23rd Street. Completion slated by November 16 with a $47 million cost.
