FCC Bans F-word on Air and Purposes Fines to Broadcasters
The FCC ruled the F-word indecent and profane on radio and TV, overruling staff. It proposed up to 27,500 for Infinity and 55,000 for Clear Channel for separate indecency broadcasts and noted Bono’s Golden Globes remark did not trigger a fine. NBC defended the action and acknowledged the lapse in delay technology.

Franklin County will apply magnesium chloride dust control on rock county roads for 2004. Landowners pay for material, labor, and equipment to treat at least 300 feet of road for 375 dollars or 1.25 dollars per running foot. Life is about six months with weather and traffic factors.
