House bill to abolish the Board of Tax Appeals advances
In Topeka Kansas the House Taxation Committee decided no further changes were needed to its bill to dissolve the Board of Tax Appeals as part of overhauling the tax appeals system. Chairman Phill Kline plans to submit the bill for House debate next week after amending it for hours. The committee learned the section on tax abatements granted to attract businesses to Kansas had been removed by the legislative attorney.
