Agriculture Day honors 1,135 Franklin County farmers producing 45 to 50 million dollars in value annually. County crops and livestock contribute about half each, with beef soybeans sorghum milk hogs corn wheat hay listed. U.S. farm workers feed 78 people per worker, with 40 percent of production exported. last year exports neared 44 billion dollars.
