Sewer rate reform ties charges to water use in Burlington
Burlington residents will see sewer charges linked to gallons of water rather than a percent of the bill starting May. Minimum is $1.20 for first 3,000 gallons, then 30 cents per 1,000 gallons for next 10,000, and 20 cents for usage over 13,000,000,000 gallons. The plan replaces the previous $1 base.
