Monday college basketball schedule features Iowa versus Valparaiso in the NIT at 6 p.m. on ESPN. Also NC Asheville faces Texas Southern in NCAA action at 6 p.m. on ESPN, with NIT games at 6 p.m. on ESPN2 and 8 p.m. on ESPN.
The NIT features Monday games March 17 and 18 with Valparaiso at Iowa and Villanova at Siena, plus several other first round clashes including Boston College at Fairfield and Drexel at Temple. Second and third rounds run through March 24 to April 1, with quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship to follow on dates in late March and early April.

Kansas coach Roy Williams voiced confusion as his 25-7 Big 12 champion Jayhawks received a No. 2 seed in the West while Texas and Oklahoma earned No. 1 seeds in the South and East respectively. Williams questioned the committee’s logic given Kansas’ regular-season title and Big 12 tournament outcomes.
Kansas State earned a 28 4 record and a No 3 seed in the NCAA tournament after a Big 12 semifinal loss. Deb Patterson said the seeding reflects a strong season and the selection committee. The Wildcats host Harvard in the East regional open to a potential matchup with Arizona Notre Dame winner. Megan Mahoney and the team praised the seeding and looked ahead to the first round.
