King wins fourth Iditarod in Nome under full moon

Jeff King claimed his fourth Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race victory finishing the 1100 mile trek in nine days 11 hours and 11 minutes. He arrived hours ahead of runner up Doug Swingley as crowds cheered through Nome’s streets. The 50 year old musher earned 69000 and a new truck with the top 30 finishers sharing 795000. additional 40000 went to later arrivals. King joins a elite list with Buser Swingley and Butcher as four time winners.
