Cohen urges Vietnam partners to use leverage with ASEAN
Defense Secretary William Cohen urged Vietnam and Southeast Asian neighbors to use collective leverage with ASEAN to influence China peacefully. In Hanoi he became the first U S defense secretary to visit since 1971, and he discussed projects such as land mine removal and flood control with Vietnamese officers and a tour of the 921st Fighter Regiment museum.
