Land Bank Pledges Cooperation On Farm Loans
Federal Land Bank of Ottawa pledges to work with struggling farmers during the financial crisis. At the Saturday meeting, Monte Reese cited low foreclosure rates and vast farm debt, stressing borrower responsibility, income surplus strategy, and optimism that land remains a limited, valuable asset despite rising rates. Local trustees were re elected and new members named to fill terms on the Ottawa Land Bank board.
