Grain diversion program farmers gain multiple support payments
Farmers divert at least 20 percent of feed grain base acreage to conservation usage and receive a diversion payment and an additional price support payment. They may also qualify for the regional price support loan or purchase agreement on corn, barley, or grain sorghum. The price support payment is a new feature of the 1963 program.
Grain Support Based on Planted Crops to set 1963 Aid
The plan applies grain payments on the normal production of acreage planted to one or more feed grains. In 1963 the payment will be figured according to the kind of crop planted and is based on 18 cents.
