Dear Ann Landers column questions and guidance

A reader blends multiple letters to Ann Landers about family trouble and church etiquette. The first asks whether a 14 year old should tell his father about his mother’s suspected affair, with the answer advising telling the mother instead. Subsequent items include a letter about an intrusive sister in law interrupting dinner with phone calls and a pastor's concern over seating arrangements for children during church services, with advice favoring first come first served seating and preserving comfort for late arrivals.
