Franklin County weighs jail future with architect study
Franklin County seeks an architect to advise whether to build a new jail or refurbish the current one and whether to relocate or expand its footprint near the courthouse. Sheriff Craig Davis says a special committee, including law enforcement and public members, has spoken with two firms and will present options to the Franklin County Commission for a later agenda item.
