Motivational Speaker to Visit Ottawa on April 5
Nationally known motivator Bill Cordes, dubbed the Master Motivator in Hawaii, will speak to youth and adults in Ottawa on April 5. He will present at Ottawa Middle School, Ottawa High School, and the Franklin County Annex with a 7 p.m. session at the Annex. Admission is 7.50 with tickets at the door or in advance from Debbie Henningsen. Proceeds fund an Ottawa Pride youth leadership program.

Illness prompts alert for Eisenhower students
A fifth grade girl at Eisenhower Elementary was hospitalized for an infectious condition that could have led to meningitis. Health officials said no meningitis case appears present, and parents were advised on symptoms and prompt medical care. The girl remains in stable to fair condition at Ransom Memorial Hospital.
