Appanoose Indians Reach State Tourney in 1942 Run
The Appanoose Rural High School Indians captured district and regional titles and advanced to the March 1942 state tournament, where they fell to Oliver in the first round. Team members included Bob Dillon Floyd Haden Francis Matter John Hamerickhouse Junior Dillon Frank Randel Bill Bachelor Raymond Moyes Ralph Stewart Lloyd Robbins Jr Lloyd Smith Don Hougland.
