Poll shows U S support for Saddam execution
Americans favor hanging Saddam if convicted, about six in ten in the United States. In contrast, most of eight other countries polled favor life imprisonment. Publics in Spain and Italy prefer life terms, while Germany echoes postwar sensitivities.
