The Kansas SRS reminds Kansans the Friday March 29 deadline applies to the 1996 Low Income Energy Assistance Program LIEAP. The Ottawa middle school spelling bee crowned a champion with a first place trophy and a $50 savings bond. The winner, Ketchum, advances to the state spelling bee April 13 at Topeka High School, edging out Flett in second and Trapper Ainsworth in third.
