City Utilities Report Highlights Growth and upgrades
The City reports wastewater, electric, and water services with a combined 48 employees. Wastewater and water divisions budget about 1.4 and 1.7 million respectively, while electric distribution shows 8.5 million. The new sewer plant won a 2005 APWA Project of the Year award and daily capacity adjusts from 2.6 to 1.25 MGD with temporary 7 MGD. Funding includes a 260,200 EPA grant for river-crossing and lift station upgrades.
