Planning Commission considers CIP hearing and zoning pacts
Planning Commission continued discussions on updating Ottawa’s Capital Improvements Program inviting public input. A public hearing was set for April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Youth Center to discuss CIP changes and address resident concerns about taxes. The panel also rezoned 1600 S. Cedar to R-2, with the owner Doug Patterson and attorney Tom Gleason Jr. voicing objections. The commission continued the matter after discussing layout buffers via a landscape easement. It approved the Ottawa Meadows preliminary plat and amended subdivision regs to allow final plats by registered land surveyors. A flood plain development permit consolidation was also proposed to cut paperwork.
