Davis Family Show Pig Farm Builds a Community Style Business
Franklin County farmer Jack Davis expands a show pig operation at his John Brown Road farm south of Ottawa. With about 40 sows the business relies on show ethics, patient breeding, and post sale clinics for buyers. The family plans the annual April show pig auction with 80 pigs expected to be sold to 100 200 attendees.
