Kansas Democrats still see reason to caucus race
U S Senator John Kerry drew attention as Kansas Democrats prep the March 13 caucus to choose national convention delegates. Local leaders say grassroots involvement matters, with enthusiasm rising in Franklin and Anderson counties. The caucus, set after a legislative veto of a presidential primary, begins at noon at 50 sites with 2 PM voting to express candidate support and determine delegate allocation. Kansas will send 41 delegates including super delegates Kathleen Sebelius and Dennis Moore.
